Spyros Mavropoulos was born and raised in Corfu. He studied at the Faculty of Law of the “Magna Graecia” University in Catanzaro, Italy, where he was awarded a scholarship for two consecutive years. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he obtained recognition of his law degree with the grade “Very Good.”
He has attended specialised seminars in human rights, real estate management, and criminal law. He is fluent in Italian and has a very good command of English, enabling him to provide legal services to international clients as well.
He completed his legal traineeship at the law office of Alexandros Avlonitis, with whom he continues to maintain a close professional collaboration. He has been a member of the Corfu Bar Association since 2006 and has been actively practising law ever since.
His professional practice focuses primarily on criminal and civil law, as well as real estate and cadastral matters.
In the field of criminal law, he has handled cases involving, among others, homicide, drug-related offences, theft, robbery, bodily harm, environmental offences, and public health violations, representing clients both in defence and in support of the prosecution.
In civil and family law, he has handled cases involving divorce, maintenance, compensation claims, payment orders, objections, and eviction proceedings. He also has extensive experience in real estate matters, including property sales and purchases, donations, title searches, inheritance matters, and corrections of cadastral records.
